The challenge

Give the audience a role in the world.

Boss Beauties already had characters, stories and a world. The opportunity was to give audiences a way to take part in it. That meant adapting the IP for play while preserving what made the world distinctive.

The thinking behind the work

An existing story becomes an experience.

The design decision

Adapt the story for participation.

The game follows a MaxTech infiltration, a mission inside the Metaverse and an escape back to friends. We translated that story into movement, obstacles and changing environments, so the player’s actions carry the narrative.

23 Pacific’s contribution

Build on what makes the IP matter.

We brought IP adaptation, game design, animation, sound and browser development together. Existing characters and world artwork informed the experience, with new interactions built around the story and the people playing it.

  • Adaptation of existing Boss Beauties IP
  • Story-led gameplay, animation and sound
  • A playable experience in the browser

The result

A new way into the Boss Beauties universe.

Designed. Developed. Working.

Escape from MaxTech extends the Boss Beauties universe into a playable browser experience. Audiences can enter its world and take part in the action, giving the existing IP another way to connect through its characters and stories.
